Description: With one of the shortest course descriptions I have ever read “Our way-marked course spans Harrow Road and Bush Wood, comprised of two laps of 2.5km.” Wanstead Flats is an extremely pleasant yet tricky parkrun. There are tree roots to watch out for in the narrower paths and grass holes and unevenness in the rest of the course. Looking at the ground in front of you is a requirement for this one. Even so, the track runs around the park twice, which is the right amount of repetition, more laps gets tiresome; it has many shaded areas, running as in a forest path, and it is far from traffic. This is one of my favourite courses due to its almost cross-country feeling.
